Includes all materials for the workshop 2 workshops Friday evening and all day Saturday Learn about Fleece Fri Oct 20th 6-9pm In this workshop, you will learn about the characteristics of wool and how they impact the final project, how to sort a fleece into different grades and tips for washing your raw fleece. The first step in creating a beautiful wool project is choosing the right fleece. Every fleece has different characteristics, and selecting the right one for your project will help you on the road to success. Even one fleece can be broken up into different grades for different projects. Learn how to read your fleeces and group different grades together for big projects. To wash or not to wash...or how to wash! There are many different ways and reasons to wash wool. We will talk about the differences, the pros and cons of each method and when washing is necessary. There is no such thing as a useless fleece when you listen to what it wants to be! Drop Spindle Day Sat Oct 21st 10 am -4pm Know your wool(understanding fleece and making rolags by learning how to card fleece) Learning to spin and getting to know your drop spindle spinning with pre-drafted sliver Making yarn using a drop spindle from rolags that you have made when carding

Cancellation Policy

.All day courses at Mud and Wool are for 16 and above.• under 18 parental permissions will be needed • The f course fee is to be made at the time of booking• A cancellation made 4 weeks or more prior to the start of the course will be refunded minus an admin fee of £20• A cancellation made with less than 4 weeks before the start of the course is non-refundable .• Mud and Wool reserve the right to cancel the course if our minimum numbers are not reached by 2 weeks before the start of the course or if instructed by Government Legislation or illness. If we cancel the course full payment will be refunded to you. We would advise you to take out insurance against loss of fees through illness or personal accident.It is your responsibility to fill in any allergies, food intolerances , relevant medical conditions on the booking form .Parking at Mud and Wool is at the owner's risk. Any booking made on any course signifies your agreement to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
