Our summer programme offers creative retreats designed for inspiration, and self-directed making in a rural setting.

Unlike our winter residencies, retreats are not outcome-based. There is no requirement to produce work, leave a piece, or participate in community programming unless you choose to. The emphasis is on creative freedom and reconnection with practice at your own pace.

These retreats are intended for artists and creative practitioners who want time away from everyday demands to think, experiment, or simply be near their work without pressure or expectation staying in their own private cottage with ensuite bathroom, kitchen and living room.

They are designed for guests whose primary intention is creative engagement and reflexion in a creative environment rather than a holiday stay.

Because the summer period is our most in -demand season, retreat pricing reflects both seasonal demand and the value of exclusive use of the space for creative purposes .

What’s included

Accommodation in a quiet, peaceful rural setting with access to 14 acres with views over to the Cambrian Mountains

Your own self- contained beautifully renovated cottage with area to work creatively

Access to our large covered barn for large messy work or just want to be outside but under cover

Access to our indoor Studio with large tables for larger work

A place on our wood fired community sauna night (subject to signing our sauna waver form)

Optional

Each cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen for your convenience, but if you’d like a break from cooking,

plant-based meals can also be provided for part of your stay .
