THREE LEGG’D MARE

‍ ‍Kate, Daf and Jon take great delight in singing traditional songs - and some of their own - in Welsh and English. For nearly ten years they have immersed themselves and their audiences in songs of love, loss, joy, desire, sadness, adventure, madness, salvation and everyday life, all woven together by dexterous vocal harmonies and far too many quirky instruments to mention.

Absolutely brilliant … ancient and modern at exactly the same time … I love it!’ FRANK HENNESSY (BBC Radio Wales)

‘Oh, the voices! Three excellent, distinctive voices of character that blend remarkably well’ THE LIVING TRADITION MAGAZINE

PETER STEVENSON

Peter is a book illustrator and writer for children and grown-ups, a storyteller and folklorist who has written many books about Welsh and World folk tales including Ceredigion folk tales, and an independent film maker who has made films of Welsh folk tales. He has just been nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Award for Children's Literature 2026. He will be telling us some local stories !

He uses crankies in his storytelling, a large wooden box like a big picture frame that contains a long illustrated scroll which is turned by a handle to create a moving panorama to illustrate the story. Peter will tell Ceredigion folk tales with his crankie box, including Rhyfel y sais bach from Mynydd bach and Siani pob man from Cei bach..

KARL AND JANINE

Karl and Janine are both former professional dancers with impressive West End credits and previously had thriving dance schools in London and Sussex. We are lucky enough that they have now moved locally and now they’re bringing their experience (and sense of humour) to West Wales, helping you discover that dancing can be as joyful as it is ridiculous. Really fun to take part in for those with no experience to those with more experience , children to adults but equally fun to watch !

OUR FIRST BAR AT MUD AND WOOL!

We will be offering wine, kombuchas, soft drinks and local beer.

TICKET PRICE

We have kept the ticket price as low as we can to be able to support our local artists. Please come along and support us and tell your friends !
